Hi, I’m Jess – formerly a trainee journalist, tentative blogger.
I am now a senior a journalist with the South Wales Argus newspaper in Newport, Wales, United Kingdom. I completed my training on Cardiff University’s postgraduate newspaper journalism course in July 2009, where I got to grips with the blogosphere revolution, Twitter explosion and all things social and multi-media. After more than two years in the industry I’m still working hard to keep up with all that’s happening out there on the big world wide web, but I think I’m getting there.
I used this blog during my university training to talk about anything in the media and online that interested me, and later to blog about my experiences working with Amish newspaper The Budget in Ohio, USA. I now have an online portolfio of my professional work here, but please feel free to comment on any of the posts on this blog as I still check back regularly.

hi jessica. you covered a story for the south wales argus on 14th August. This was the funeral of Father Raymond Bunting which took place at St.Patricks Church in Newport. My husband is Father Raymonds nephew. I have been trying to find you as I am interested in seeing some of the photos you took that day if you still have them and maybe buying some from you.
